Large Bowl in Greyed Blue and Coral, Wax Resist Technique

Product Description

Large wheel thrown stone bowl. Measures 14″ across and is 5″ deep.  The entire piece was glazed in the white glaze, and then the decoration was hand brushed using a wax emulsion.  When that was dry, the other glazes were applied.  The glazes did not stick on the wax.  Very similar to batik with fabric.
