This leather possibles bag with the traditional beaver tail flap is made of 6 ounce cowhide leather with a carnauba cream finish. It comes with a handmade patch knife and features a whitetail deer antler button to secure the flap. It is all hand stitched, no machinery was used.
The bag is 10″ wide and 8″ tall and is 2 1/4″ deep. It has three pockets, two that are full sized and one small pocket for patches or flints. Personally, I put the primary tools for loading my CVA percussion in the larger front pocket, patches in the small pocket and maintenance tools such as the nipple wrench in the full sized back pocket.
The strap is olive colored cotton webbing, attached to the bag with D rings and reinforced with leather. Overall length of the strap is 50″. It is 1 3/4″ wide.
The patch knife is made of a high quality steel rotary saw blade. The blade itself is 2 1/2″ long and the overall length including the whitetail deer antler tip handle is 5″. It fits snugly into the sheath attached to the side of the bag, which faces forward when the bag is carried across the right shoulder.
There is a brand in the leather on the back of the bag (see photo showing the back).
